Take a listen to Julian’s previous work as an Artist :

JINE EP - The debut E.P (2020)

Fully Arranged & produced by Julian Stella

"JINE" was an indie pop/rock-funk band based in Toulouse, located in the southeast of France, formed by Julian Stella (Producer, Songwriter) & Justine Lajat (Singer-Songwriter).

Remarkably, Julian played and recorded all the instruments featured on this EP himself. Unfortunately, the band's journey came to an untimely end in 2020 during the Covid lockdown, but the project's music still remains available for listening.

Julian Stella

Solo Career & Collaborations

As a producer/songwriter who really wanted to release pop songs, Julian was inspired to do what modern DJs do: Ask talented singer-songwriters around him to collaborate and sing songs over his instrumentals.

Julian's eclectic music taste takes us on a nostalgic journey, featuring Deep House summer tracks like "Sunshine" and "Summertime," alongside an epic movie adventure with retro songs like "You Gotta Breathe" and heartfelt ballads like "Sad Eyes."

About Julian Stella

Julien Michaud, aka Julian Stella, is a musician, producer, and songwriter based in London. He was born in Lyon, which is located in Eastern France.

Julian studied at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London, where he graduated in 2016 with a Higher Diploma in performance music specializing in drums. He later earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Creative Musicianship with first-class honors in 2019.

Originally a drummer, Julian is not only a skilled guitarist but also a self-taught bassist and pianist. His unwavering passion for music has driven him to delve into various aspects of the craft, including songwriting, composition, production, and song arrangement. Whether he's collaborating with fellow artists on their projects or crafting his own original material as an artist, Julian thrives in a creative environment and finds immense joy and inner happiness in the process. For him, the act of creating a song, either independently or in collaboration with other creative individuals, is the true essence of happiness in life.

In 2017, Julian joined "Russell & The French Boys" as a drummer, a Progressive Pop-Rock band formed with friends from university. The band released its first EP in 2018, along with a well-received single titled "Turn Me On." The song has garnered more than 10,500 streams on Spotify: http://bit.ly/3OJURv

In 2019, as a graduate student, Julian returned to France after collaborating extensively with a female artist/singer-songwriter named Justine Lajat (now known as Ojä). Their collaborations led to the development of Julian's original material, and they formed "JINE," an indie pop/rock-funk band based in Toulouse, in the southeast of France. Remarkably, Julian played and recorded all the instruments on their EP himself. Unfortunately, the band disbanded in 2020 during the Covid lockdown, but their EP titled "JINE" is still available for listening at: https://bit.ly/33Ehw5f.

Around the same period, Julian had the opportunity to fly to Los Angeles, California, for a one-month internship at a professional music studio with Paul Boutin. Paul Boutin has been a long-time collaborator with the renowned producer, songwriter, and artist Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. This experience served as a significant inspiration for Julian, driving him to strive for excellence in his work and learn from the best to become a better musician, producer, and songwriter.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Julian has engaged in numerous collaborative projects with several emerging French artists, such as Iphis Well, Yordanoff & Adrien Rouyer, Rocket, Labadou, Mady Story, Perinne, and Matt Plane. Additionally, he has also worked with international artists, including Adeline from Canada and Ricardo Synth from Brazil

Julian's upcoming goals include establishing a new emerging band in London, where he can fully express himself as an artist. Additionally, he aims to continue connecting with and supporting fellow emerging artists by contributing his skills as a musician, producer, and songwriter to their creative projects.

Through these endeavors, he aspires to foster a thriving and collaborative music community, helping others grow and succeed in their musical pursuits.
